Did you know there is a special part of the brain that is called the fusiform face area that is used to analyze faces?
Our expressions are a key way that we communicate, and given that the brain devotes a very large portion to the visual cortex, it is no wonder that we rely on deciphering the faces of others for a great deal of the feedback needed in relationships.
Expressions are hard to fake, which is why great actors and actresses are so rare.
